Palm Beach Casino To Host Alpha8

The WPT created show that pits poker professionals against rich amateurs, Alpha8 will return to the Palm Beach Casino in London again this year. The World Poker Tour's Alpha8 tour had its first season last year which saw competition for over $9 million in prize money between 60 players.

The buy-in is 60,000 pounds and the event will be held in the casino in Mayfair from the 6th to the 7th of October 2014. Live updates will be provided on the WPT blog. The event is made for TV and is held in locations around the world.

At the event in London, German player Philipp Gruissem won the first prize of 862,400 pounds. The event will be hosted in St.Kitts after it leaves London. Bill Perkins, a businessman, will host the $100,000 event at the Royal Beach Casino in Christophe Harbour.
